Another cute couple here. One of the popular ships in the fandom. They're literally like an old married couple,They bicker a lot in the show because they usually don't agree with a lot of things, small things, but they quickly make up with each other. It's pretty obvious in the show that they care for each other and have each other's back all the time and they get flustered when one of the characters take notice of this (especially Leo). 

I just love them. They are cute together, their height difference Is perfect, no argument in there. Needless to say, their personalities compliment each other. I just love all of their scene in both versions of the anime.

There are so many things I'd like to say about this ship. I'd go down for this two, istg. They are childhood best friends in the story, thus they are precious and a must-be-protected-at-all-cost ship. I remember watching Free! four years ago, and at the very first episode, I was like, "Yeah, I'm definitely shipping these two" I mean how can you not, right? I know they are only supposed to be platonic "best friends" but I know deep in my heart that there is something more, (at least that's what the director of the show wants to portray) I have many proofs. I'm not even gonna start with the way Mako looks at his "best friend". Don't even @ me.

I don't know they are just too perfect for each other. Their character and attitude compliment each other beautifully. Makoto is the kindest, gentlest, and most thoughtful friend there is. On the other hand, Haru has a cool, quiet, and calm demeanor but is a kind person. Plus, I don't think he'd be the same in the show without Makoto, and vice versa. They are very much made for each other.

In conclusion, I love them as a couple. I ship them even more than Rin/Haru, 'cuz they are just precious. One of the ships that have a different kind of effect on me. Even if I didn't know Free! and my friends hyped me to watch it because of that Rin/Haru ship, I'd still totally be going for them. One hundred percent and that's all there is to it.

So, I've watched Yuri!!! on Ice 4 years ago and since then, they are my OTP. Definitely loved their dynamic and chemistry throughout the show. Took me a while to recover from this ship because they are so superb. I actually screamed at their supposed "kiss scene" on the ice rink. That was one hell of a scene for my fujoshi heart. (👍≖‿‿≖)👍
